Ukrainian IR Forum 2013: Building Investor Value is the second annual event held by IR Academy FinanceTalking, which assemble key auditory involved in Investor Relations - representatives of the leading Ukrainian and international companies – in order to share experience in the field of IR, analyze its impact on business valuation.

The main themes of the forum were trends in the macroeconomic environment in Ukraine, the effect of «sell-side research» on investors’ decisions, their perception to corporate management risks in Ukrainian companies, as well as the specifics of communication with different types of investors. In addition, there were workshops, where experts discussed real IR-strategies based on the experience of Ukrainian companies.

"The main issue associated with the IR is increase of company liquidity. Thus, it is important to understand the specifics of building relationships with a particular investor. For example, U.S. and European investors appreciate the business with a high level of corporate management, while for Asia investors the market capitalization is the major factor. However, we should understand that IR isn’t just building relationships with investors, but also the formation of the company international reputation. It is a comprehensive work which includes quality planning, competent management of investor expectations, and cooperative work with media - especially the foreign media which are not familiar with the specifics of our country. Only such strategy will lead to excellent result - increase of company value and its reputation to the international level”, said Antonina Kutova.
